The PCIS BETA Club, an academic honors and community service organization, collected more than 2100 food items during the annual canned food drive. This was three times last year’s collection. The cans will go to Central High School for the Beta Club to participate in the “CANstruction” program on November 14. The food items will then be donated to Lakewood Baptist LOAF program and the Salvation Army to help during the upcoming holidays.
PCIS would like to thank Publix for the use of their shopping carts during the canned food drive.
PCIS is also involved in collecting and recycling phone books, print cartridges, cell phones, MP3 players, and other electronic devices. These items can be dropped off at the PCIS front office any school day between 7:30 AM and 3:00 PM.

The Tradition Continues... |

The PCIS Falcon football team celebrated another successful season at the annual football banquet November 10. The Falcons defeatied rivals Auburn, Russell County and Valley in route to a 6-2 record for the 2009 season.
Each player and cheerleader was recognized at the banquet and special awards were given for outstanding offensive and defensive players. Coach Rawson also presented FALCON Pride awards given each year to players who excel on the field, as team leaders,and exhibit sportsmanship.
