Mr. Williams Wins a Golden Apple!

Recently, WRBL and MEA Federal Credit Union awarded Mr. Williams, our band director, with the golden apple award. Mr. Williams was nominated by several students and parents for the award. Students and parents said they see him as more than a band director. Besides teaching students music, he serves as a mentor to students throughout the school. Mr. Williams was quoted on WRBL news saying, "A lot of people probably don't realize it. In band, you're combining everything, every subject.  Math, Reading.  And it's really neat that they can use all the things that they are learning in their other classes, put it to use in band, where in a class, they may get in trouble for playing out loud and being loud.  Well, in band, they're supposed to be loud." Congrats Mr. Williams! We are very proud of what you've accomplished!

An afterschool program will be held at Phenix City Elementary School, located next door to PCIS. PCIS students can attend the afterschool program. There is a $25.00 non-refundable registration fee per family not per child.
Weekly fees are as follows: 

1 child - $50/wk
2 children – $90/wk
3 children - $120/wk
4 children - $140/wk
 
The weekly fee will be prorated ONLY for school holidays. If your child is out of school sick one or more days the weekly fee still remains the same.
The program starts immediately after school dismissal and ends PROMPTLY at 6:00.  ALL CHILDREN MUST BE PICKED UP BY 6:00 DAILY. Included in the program is a daily snack and homework time should the child need it.  Should you have any questions please call Ms. Dial at 334-298-9876.
